We've been hand-grilling unagi for more than fifty years. In February 2023, we opened a restaurant right next to our factory — so we can serve our kabayaki hot, fresh, and just seconds off the grill. Our goal is simple: to serve unagi worthy of being called the best in Japan.

Hitsumabushi — Unagi rice, three ways
Grilled unagi served over rice, traditionally enjoyed several ways — first on its own, then with condiments, and finally as ochazuke, with broth poured over the remaining rice for a warm, savoury finish.

Not staying for a sit-down meal? Our retail counter sells morning-grilled unagi (¥2,100/pc, tax incl.) — pulled from the grill that morning and ready to take home. We also carry our full range of frozen products, the same ones available through our online store, shipped nationwide.
Treat yourself to something a little special. Our Unaju Bento (¥3,000, tax incl.) lets you take home a freshly grilled unaju — made to order and boxed fresh.

Visiting on a closed day or after hours? We have a frozen vending machine right on-site, stocked with our unagi and available around the clock.
